I took a quarter-long yoga class in college and practiced prenatal yoga this past Summer. I really think it helped me relax and maintain some of my muscle strength while pregnant. I have decided that I am going to start doing yoga in the evenings again. I joined yogajournal.com. I had no idea that you could build your own yoga practice on their site, which is really cool. I really do not like following videos, so having my own routine will be nice. Just checking in!
Goals - Week 2 - The Missus
My goal for myself this week is stretch for five minutes every day. I watch our baby girl stretch and think both that it must feel so good and keep her limber (in other words, SHE will be able to stick her foot in her mouth sooner rather than later). I made this same goal for M. He has yet to make a goal for me, so I don’t know what I should be doing for him today. :P
Week 1 - The Missus
This week was both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be. I have discovered that as long as we keep the bad food out of the house, it is extremely easy to eat healthfully. That being said, I discovered a bag of white chocolate chips last night and ate the better part of it. I just need to not have the stuff around and I can control myself (which means, essentially, that I can’t control myself). It was also easy to exercise once I started incorporating the baby. It sounds ridiculous but my muscle tone is already much better after just this week.
I will admit that it is hard for me to not see the numbers going down very quickly. I guess you can say that I have always crash dieted. I would gain 5-10 pounds during the winter and lose it at the beginning of less-clothing season by restricting my diet a lot. It would take just a few days. I know that I am doing it right this time, however, and that it will hopefully be easier to keep my weight down once I reach my goal.
Points: I exercised using the baby each day except for one this week so I got six points for that (one point each day) and I ate three meals five days this week so I got ten points. T lost more weight than me this week so he got that point, so I have a total of 16 points.
